Buy a Brick and Help Build A New Leash on Life

Funds Raised to Date: $140,000

Each year thousands of homeless animals die on our city streets. Injured and abandoned, they have no where to go. Pet Save began with a handful of volunteers and saved 73 stray cats and dogs in 2000. Today the need for our services is overwhelming. Last year almost 1000 cats and dogs came through our organization on their journey to a new loving home.

Many came in skin and bones, broken limbs, frost bitten ears and feet. They all have their own story and our dedicated volunteers were there to help them through their struggle. Overpopulation is a huge problem in our community and many other communities in the North and we need to build a New Home for them so they don’t have to face the struggles of living on the street. To date we have saved over 4,000 friends and unfortunately there are thousands still waiting.

We believe animals are an extension of our families and should be treated the same. It is heartbreaking for us knowing how many animals never reach Pet Save and die alone on the streets. They may not always be visible but we see them and their need to be helped.

With our NO Kill policy, every pet gets a home, no matter what their needs are.

This year Pet Save is embarking on a Capital Campaign to build a New facility to house the homeless. Our new home will be 3,800 square ft located in Lively, Ontario. It will be an educational centre for children and young adults so we can reshape the next generation of Pet owners and hopefully end the suffering one day that so many must endure. It will be a state of the art facility to house our sick and injured friends until new homes can be found.

Capone came to Pet Save after being caught in snare trap and suffering facial and leg injuries. After surgery, he recovered and takes time to smell the roses on his daily walks with his new family.

We need to raise $500,000 to give the animals in our community a second chance. When you purchase a Brick for $50.00 or $100.00 your name will be inscribed on the walls of our new building saying you cared enough to make a difference.

You can purchase a brick in your family`s name or maybe in the name of a favourite pet. You can also purchase one in memory of a cherished pet or animal lover whose life was enriched by the love of a furry friend. What a better way to honour their memory than to dedicate a brick in their name.

All purchases will be acknowledged with a card sent by Pet Save and all who purchase or receive a brick will be invited to our Grand Opening so they can tour our New Home.
